Kidnapping a man using a trick

Kidnapping a man using a trick

My second book will start in an unusual way. I will write about the events and impressions that created the concept of bodyguard work, in order to stay alive above all.

Of course, the actors and their characters have changed, but the events I describe are completely accurate in the written way and they happened realistically.

Back in 1994, I was still studying. I managed like all students for money. I worked through the student cooperative, and the student canteen where we got food for vouchers was our greatest happiness after arduous lectures and laboratory exercises.

My father had a salary of 5 euros, as did my mother, and I had to send money many times so that they had something to eat or pay for electricity.

With my best friend since birth, like many students, we sold smuggled cigarettes, converted foreign currency, and sold children's kits at the market stall, which we bought mostly in Romania. After several confiscations of almost all the goods when crossing the border, we were put in a very difficult situation by our customs.

I had about 400 euros saved (German marks at the time) and I had to pay rent and a student canteen. I remember like it was now, there was an attractive advertisement for a school for bodyguards on the radio every day. The first thing that would come to my mind is that it is a sure way to end up in some paramilitary formation and find yourself a warfighter. However, there was something in that advertisement that made me go to the company and find out what it was all about. I remember the conversation and completely normal people who offered me to pay for the training in installments and the possibility of quickly getting a job if I proved to be good at the training. The training cost 650 euros. I had to decide quickly because the training started in a few days. I applied the same day.

We were the second class and there were about 180 of us. We had training every day. Every other day we also had theoretical classes. Every Saturday we had pistol shooting at the shooting range. Almost all coaches were either former champions in their sport or national team coaches. There was boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, judo, and jiu-jitsu, and the sparrings were real fights without any rules. Some of the trainers were professors at the college for internal affairs, and one of them was the main organizer of the training had a high police rank, and was the internal control of the active police.

After only two months, I started training with an older group and got my first job (although you had to go through three six-month training sessions to get a job). After completing the first part of the training, they counted me as having completed two parts (each part lasts six months), I bought a car, I had a lot of work and I had several colleagues who were the skeleton of the future team. After a year and a half, a group of eight guys and a couple of girls was formed that exclusively guarded high-risk individuals.

For every smallest problem that happened on the field, the organizer would always call me. I solved everything regularly and slowly became the team leader. We had good support from the police and in the course of our work, we gradually got to know more and more serious gang leaders in our city.

The case that stood out from all the others was the custody of a Slovenian who had a very developed business in our country. He produced various packages for all kinds of products, and he had production in Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia, and Italy. All plants had about fifty employees each.

In the beginning, he was guarded by the reserve team, considering that our company's reputation was enough to ensure that nothing happened to him.

However, one evening his ex-girlfriend invited him to meet her at her apartment to relax. He left his bodyguards to wait for him in the car and he went to the third floor with his girlfriend. The kidnappers were waiting for him in the apartment. They tied him up, gagged him, and rolled him up in a carpet. So they took him out of the apartment in front of the bodyguards who were guarding him. At that time, there were only a few groups that were capable of doing something like that.

When the head of our company called me urgently, I found the kidnapped Slovenian after a few phone calls. They were looking for him for the whole seven days before that, the entire police force and all other services. It was only necessary to offer more money than the person who commissioned the kidnapping.

For the next year, my team took care of him and there were no problems. He could go to the girl's house, but not alone and not without first asking the bodyguards, wherever he went.

The point of this story is the mistakes made. They may not be life-threatening, but they are for the reputation of the company you work for.

The first meeting with the client, which is described in detail in the first book, implies that you find out the reason why the person asks to be taken care of. You have to be smart about it because it depends on how many people you will keep it with, how you will keep it, and what you will keep it from. How much my arrangement will cost depends on that.

The Slovenian had a rift with his business partner from Italy, with whom they were brought to court. He took out all the machines from one of the factories while they were still partners and at that moment his head was blackmailed. He didn't say any of that before the abduction. After the kidnapping and rescue, he told everything.

Again, the mistake was made by the owner of our company at that time, who, in order to earn more, hired inexperienced guys who accepted to work for 10% of the client's payment. My team never worked below 75%. In this way, everyone gets the same if you count the risk and the engagement of at least three people in the escort.

However, when you lose your reputation in this business, it costs much more.

Many times later I had the habit of making contracts with the client as well.
